International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE)

The International Society of Electrochemistry (ISE) is a non-profit-making organization with its seat in Lausanne, Switzerland. ISE was founded in 1949 by leading European and American Electrochemists to serve the growing needs of electrochemistry in becoming a modern scientific discipline. Since then the association has evolved and now comprises about 3000 individual members and more than 20 Corporate Members (teaching institutions, non-profit-making research organizations and learned societies) and Corporate Sustaining Members (industrial and commercial organizations).

Its membership comes from more than 70 countries and is organized in over 40 regional sections. Both industrialized and developing countries from all five continents are represented.

Salerno's Schola Medica Salernitana was the most important medical school in Europe between the 10th and 13th centuries.

Born as spin-off of the University of Salerno, NARRANDO is innovative startup with know-how in the development, production and commercialization, cooperation/consultance in the fields of lubrication, energy storage, water treatment, enzyme catalysis, conductive adhesion, photovoltaic, sensing.

NARRANDO has developed a nano dosimeter prototype for application in radiotherapeutics and radiodiagnostics.

The Centre NANO_MATES is a research network within the Salerno University Campus aiming at accomplishing a strong synergy between scientists active in nanoscience and nanotechnology, addressed to either the comprehension of basic mechanisms or the realization of novel products and processes in the framework of academic and industrial collaborations.
